The Tradition Continues: First Degree & Active Spotlight - Rachel Helbing

19 new musicians have begun the process of joining the brotherhood. These young men and woman are excited about the process of joining this family and upholding our tradition. Lead by first female VP of Membership, Rachel Helbing, her and the membership team are excited as they begin the Road to Wisdom.

Active Spotlight: Rachel Helbing

Vice President of Membership (VPM)

Rachel is a graduating senior studying Criminology/Criminal Justice. She is a student staff leader for the Marching Band and Athletic Band and she plays the bass clarinet and tenor sax. She currently holds an internship with the State of Ohio Legislators working with the Correctional Institute Inspection Committee which conducts site inspections in all Ohio prison facilities and provide communication between the incarcerated population, Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, and legislators.

When asked about her time as VPM, she mentions that it is already the highlight of her time at the Eta Chapter. Seeing the potential of our membership candidates and their excitement for the road ahead has reminded me of my first months in the chapter. The young minds with new perspectives and motivation will be the greatest reward of this position.

Rachel will be graduating this December and will be completing her duties as a VPM that Spring. She says that she will miss the friendships she built in the brotherhood and having that support system. After college, she hopes After to continue with a career in criminal justice or in the non-profit.

Brotherhood lasts forever and we are excited to have Rachel in the Alumni Association! Once again, the active chapter invites all brothers to watch the Ritual this year and Rachel leads the new generation of Eta into the brotherhood.
